ADA Compliant Exit Sign – 6"x3" Tactile with Braille

Mark exit doors with this compact 6" x 3" ADA and California Title 24 compliant EXIT sign, with raised tactile letters and Grade 2 Braille. California (CBC 11B-216.4.1) and the IBC (Section 1013.4) require a tactile EXIT sign at each grade-level exterior exit door.

  • Size: 6" x 3"
  • Text: "EXIT" in 1/32" raised uppercase sans-serif letters
  • Braille: Grade 2, below the text
  • Thickness: 1/8" acrylic
  • Finish: matte, non-glare, with high-contrast letters
  • Colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Silver, White, Red, Brushed Aluminum
  • Mounting: high-bond double-sided tape
  • Standards: built to the 2010 ADA Standards (Section 703) and CBC Chapter 11B
  • SKUs: EX63K, EX63U, EX63WN, EX63S, EX63W, EX63R, EX63K-BRUSH

Installation: Mount on the wall beside the door, on the latch side. Place the tactile text between 48" and 60" above the finished floor, with an 18" x 18" clear floor space in front of the sign, outside the door swing.

Note: Brushed Aluminum is made to order, with a brushed-silver face and black lettering. This is the tactile EXIT sign required at exit doors, not an illuminated exit sign.
